Badrinath Dham Comes to Vasai: A Divine Himalayan Experience in Mumbai

Pran-Pratishtha Mahotsav took place from April 18 to April 22, 2026, culminating in a grand inauguration on April 22. The ceremonies were conducted by Vedic acharyas and Brahmins from Kashi, ensuring authenticity in every ritual. Traditional practices such as mandap pujan, jalyatra, yagna, homa, and poornahuti were performed, ending with a Maha Aarti during the auspicious Abhijit Muhurta.

Architecture and Divine Idols

Designed to mirror the Himalayan shrine, the temple features a towering shikhara, a sanctum (garbhagriha), and a spacious mandap. The main idol of Badri Narayan is crafted from Krishna Shila, the same sacred stone used for the idol of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya.

Accompanying the main deity are revered figures including Kuber, Uddhavji, Garud, Narayan, and Narnarayan. The temple complex also houses idols of Ganesh, Lakshmi, Hanuman, and Laddoo Gopal, making it a comprehensive spiritual destination for devotees.

Facilities for Devotees

Spread across 22,700 square feet over four floors, the temple offers more than just darshan. It includes meditation halls, guest accommodations, and dedicated spaces for yajnas and religious gatherings. The ground floor alone can accommodate over 2,000 devotees. A library is also under development, aiming to provide access to sacred Hindu scriptures and knowledge.

Daily rituals are conducted by priests from Uttarakhand, ensuring that the traditions remain true to their origins. The serene environment, complemented by open green spaces, enhances the overall spiritual experience.

The temple is easily accessible from Vasai-West Railway Station. Visitors can reach the location via a short rickshaw or auto ride, followed by a brief walk from the Sun City police chowki.
